Apelogun Backs Abiodun for Ogun East Senate Seat

The National President of the Amalgamated Commercial Tricycle and Motorcycle Owners, Repairs and Riders Association of Nigeria, Adebayo Shamsudeen Apelogun, has thrown his weight behind the emergence of Dapo Abiodun as the consensus candidate of the All Progressives Congress for the Ogun East Senatorial District ahead of the 2027 elections.

In a statement, Apelogun described the decision as a reflection of the confidence party stakeholders have in the governor’s leadership, citing his achievements in infrastructure, industrial growth, and economic development across Ogun State. He noted that Abiodun’s track record over the past seven years positions him as the right choice to represent Ogun East at the Senate.

Apelogun also highlighted the stability experienced within the transport sector under the current administration, expressing optimism that Abiodun’s transition to the National Assembly would further attract development to the district.

The governor was adopted as the APC’s consensus candidate during a stakeholders’ meeting held in Ijebu Ode, with prominent party leaders, including former senator Lekan Mustapha, endorsing the move and pledging full support ahead of the 2027 polls.
