REAL REASONS ASIWAJU TINUBU SHUNNED COUSIN'S WEDDING
Moshood Kasumu, the cousin of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu wedded his heartthrob, Asafat on the Saturday the 8th of September 2012 amidst glitz and glamour at the blue roof hall within the premises of the Lagos State Television (LTV). The late mother of the groom was Asiwaju Tinubu’s younger sister. The well attended wedding was compeered by Top Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele Oloyede and Comedienne, Lepacious Bose. The occasion was attended by prominent Nigerians including, Governor of Lagos State, Raji Fashola, Deputy Governor of the state, Mrs. Adejoke Adefulure and her husband, Justice Abiodun Adefulure, former Governor of Lagos state, Chief Lateef Jakande and wife, Senator Remi Tinubu, Chief Abibat Mogaji, Chief Lai Mohammed, Chief Omolade Okoya, Kemi Nelson, Folashade Tinubu Ojo, Seyi Tinubu and others.
Though, many was pondered over why Asiwaju Bola Ahmed was absent from the one in town celebration. But we can authoritatively inform that the
Ex-Lagos State Governor and the national leader of the Action Congress of Nigeria left the country few days to the wedding to join American President, leaders of the Democratic Party and thousands of party members and donors to attend the three, day National convention of the party in Charlotte, North Carolina Tinubu who was invited to the convention in his right as the leader of the opposition in Nigeria and an influential national figure in Nigeria was at the ring side as the Democratic Party conducts activities that culminate in the nomination of President Barak Obama as its candidate for the November 2012 Presidential elections in the USA. Tinubu received a gold card invitation which is prime and with this, he was joined by three other eminent personalities- Governor Kayode Fayemi, Mr. Dele Alake and Lagos Speaker, Ikuforiji.
