NIGERIA EVENT AWARD HOLDS

The Nigerian Event Awards 
took place at The Grandeur  Event Centre in Lagos on Sunday 8th of May 2011. The celebration of this maiden edition of the awards brought together a great number of people who came all out to honour remarkable people in the Nigerian Events and Entertainment Industry.

The event, anchored by Yinka Aworetan andTeddy Momoh attracted the presence of radio and TV presenters as well as performing artistes, including Jiimbay Production, DMsquared, Aduke, Omolara, Funbi, Contradiction, KB, Mo’Cheddah, Tosin Bucknor, Victoria Pepple, Vixen, Omoye Uzamere, Jimi Agbaje,, and many more.

It was also a night of glamour, featuring a fashion show, parading designs from House of Makeda and Omakin Lagos. Dignitaries present at the event include the Honourable Commissioner for Health, Dr. Jide Idris, Jimi Agbaje and Toyin Caxton-Martins (Adviser to the Governor On Foreign Affairs).




 

The Nigerian Event Awards (TNEA) a platform for honoring, acknowledging, and supporting great events across the nation has definitely come to stay. This year's edition of the annual event packaged by Go2gurl Ltd had a long list of multi-talented individuals and organizations, who were nominated by clients, fans and industry leaders alike for a series of awards and well-deserved recognition.  The exemplary careers of incredible talents like Chief Mrs. Funmi Ogunbadejo of Tisbee Aso Oke and Mrs. Bolanle Koya of ‘The Wedding Store’ (TWS) was celebrated, as they receive Lifetime Achievement Awards. The duo joins the Hall of Lifetime Awards recipients with Mrs Yewande Zaccheus, CEO Eventful Limited who recieved the award for The Nigerian Event Awards (TNEA) 2011.

The theme of this year's event was BLOCKING COLOURS, as different colours were talked about including colours like Blue, Brown, Black, Pink amongst others.

The nomination procedure for the this year's event was constituted using a simple scoring system following the criteria for each Award. A 60 percent online submission at 
www.thenigerianceventawards.com; 30 percent was also constituted via electronic mailed and physical form submissions, while 10 percent of the voting came from recognised and respected individuals from a variety on industry sectors and disciplines guaranteeing objectivity and credibility.
