CHRIS BIG BROTHER AFRICA
Can we meet ?
My names are Chris Asekomhe and I am from Edo State, but I was born in Lagos. I live in Lagos and I do my business in Lagos. I am a Lagosian.
How did you get into the Big Brother house?
You know how it goes. A lot of people know we had to go into this years edition with a partner and I was called by Ola if i would love to go into the house and I told him it was cool. So, basically we agreed we were going for the show and we went for the audition and for the final audition in South Africa. That was how i got into the show.
What was your reason for leaving the house?
Well, Ola was ill and so we had to leave for his treatment and there was no way he would leave without me because it was the two of us who came into the house. So, he got ill and we had to leave for his treatment.
Do you feel if he was not ill one of you would have emmerged the winner of the grand prize?
To be really honest with you, the housemates already said we were already the winner of the show though we didn't understand or see what they were saying, but at the end of the day we figured it out. Not that we accepted but they just crowned us winners themsleves, so we really had to be careful at some point as we were like role models to them
There were rumours that Big Brother organisers actually paid you guys off based on the fact that Nigeria has been the winner for three seasons, is it true?
Let me be very honest with you, the star prize is $300,000 and if they are going to pay me off they will be talking about $600,000. If i collect that kind of money, will leave the show cause I don't see what I will be doing there with that kind of money with me. But I will tell you with fact that Big Brother did not pay us anything to leave the show. Ola, fell ill but now he is okay we had to leave on health ground. I tell you something it could have been anybody. So people should just stop twisting things. I am talking here because I want to I didn't win any money, But I am here because I want to be. So, we didn't get paid we left the house on health grounds.
What was life like before you got into the house ?
Before then I was a Fashion Designer and I am still. I run an entertainment company called Muses Entertainment and I keep doing my stuffs before now. I focus majorly on entertainment. Before, it was Fashion entertainment but now it is entertainment all the way.
What have you been up to since coming out of the house?
We are doing great. Like I always say "the end justify the means", we taking a step after another so we are moving gradually and we are working hard and we hope for the best.
Are you saying you were okay leaving the house?
Well, I will tell you the fact. It wasn't easy to leave the house just like that I felt I had won the money but all of a sudden I had to go though it was very hard. You know thinking about it $300,000 it's a lot of money you can do anything, change anything, it can even change a billionaire's life even if he thinks he has a lot.The truth basically is that I had to do what I had to do, but it felt it so hard.
Did you make friends in the house and do you still communicate with them?
Yeah I did. I made a lot of freinds, I am freinds with Saidu, Zainab, Hilda, Julio and Darfin. You know it was like been in an environment that was like home. So, we are still freinds and we keep in touch every now and then. It is like been away from them and still be around them. Right now, we are working a lot of stuffs so I am hope on seeing them soon.
