HOW WIZKID FORCED DAVIDO OUT OF D'bANJI SHOW IN LONDON

I regret to inform you that I will not be performing alongside my most respected big brother and friend D’BANJ at the scheduled show of August 27, 2012 in London.

I am a Nigerian citizen as well as an American citizen, I carry both the Nigerian and the American Passports. As an American citizen, I do not require a visa to enter the United Kingdom, however, I require a work permit in the United Kingdom for any paid performance such as the scheduled 27 August 2012 show in London, that is the law in the United Kingdom. I applied for a work permit at the British Embassy in Abuja/Lagos but unfortunately up till the close of work on Friday 24 August 2012, I was unable to obtain a work permit. As a result, I have to cancel my trip to the United Kingdom and the my performance altogether. I apologize for the inconvenience and the disappointment, but be rest assured that I will make it up to you all on a future date. You will agree with me that it is better to be law abiding at all times and in every jurisdictions. Finally, please go out en mass to support the Koko Master (D’BANJ) and have a wonderful night on August 27, 2012.

Information at our disposal from an embassy source has alleged that contrary to the story making the rounds that Davido was denied a working permit by the embassy, Davido never applied for a working permit from the United Kingdom Embassy. According to sources close to Davido, the controversial act only wanted to pull out of the London performance and needed an alibi that would hold water, hence his decision to play on the fact that he was denied working permit. A close associates of Davido reliably informed us that his decision to pull out of the show was basically because of his decision never to perform on the same stage with Wiz Kid. Davido decided to take the easy way out when he realised that all the artistes that makeup Emmy Records were on a tour of United Kingdom and that Wizkid will also be perform at the show with him. You will recall that Davido once twitted sometime last year that he would never perform on the same stage with Wizkid owing to diffrencies between them. Those who really know what is happening behind close door have revealed that all the drama of not getting a work permit was in an effort to keep to his word hence he stylishly pull out of the show claiming he was not given a working permit by the United Kingdom Embassy.
