The Nigerian Fuji music industry has been thrown into mourning following the death of former President of the Fuji Musicians Association of Nigeria (FUMAN), Alhaji Saka Odunsi, popularly known as Saka Orobo.
Alhaji Odunsi reportedly passed away in the early hours of Tuesday at his residence in Ikota, Ajah, Lagos, after battling an undisclosed illness for over five years.
Throughout his illness, colleagues, associates, and friends in the Fuji music circle stood by him, offering both moral and financial support until his passing.
He is scheduled to be laid to rest this morning in accordance with Islamic rites.
His death marks a significant loss to the Fuji music community, where he was widely respected for his leadership and contribution to the growth of the genre.
